We
mentioned earlier that our inspectors are trained, certified, insured and licensed.
What we did not mention is that they come from all walks of life. Some are
degreed engineers (mechanical, civil, industrial, electrical). Others
worked as adjustors for some of the largest home insurers (who better to
see a train wreck coming down the track). We also employ licensed
professional engineers in the event that a code compliance issue or
specific structural concern rears its ugly head. Regardless
of who performs your HouseMaster inspection, you can rest easy knowing
that we have dedicated the last 25 years staffing our inspector corral
with thoroughbreds and that we are staffed to account for any question
that may arise.
Our inspectors welcome and encourage your presence at the inspection. But you may have to plan a picnic lunch. The average inspection time for a single family home is between 2-1/2 and 3 hours. It is not a cursory review and requires a good deal of time to explain issues to you. This hands-on approach yields our favorite type of homeowner... a well informed one.
